Visión general

Creando un lugar de trabajo positivo requiere la participación de todos. Como empleado, tiene la función de prevenir el acoso y fomentar el respeto en el lugar de trabajo.

Este curso web le brinda las habilidades prácticas que necesita para identificar, manejar y prevenir con seguridad el acoso sexual y otros tipos de acoso ilegal. Revisará ejemplos del mundo real de comportamientos que cumplen con las definiciones de discriminación ilegal y represalias.

También aprenderá qué puede hacer si surge un problema, incluyendo cómo tomar medidas y cuándo involucrar a la gerencia o los Recursos Humanos. También cubriremos lo que puede hacer como empleado para crear un ambiente más positivo y profesional.

Objetivos

• Revisar las definiciones EEOC y ejemplos de acoso ilegal, discriminación y represalias.

• Obtenga una visión general de las leyes laborales y cómo afectan las políticas y expectativas de su empleador para la conducta en el lugar de trabajo

• Identifique las acciones que puede tomar para promover un lugar de trabajo positivo y respetuoso, libre de acoso y discriminación.

Oscar Rico-Cizares & Eva Maribona

Oscar Rico-Cazares provides HR consultation to multiple clients. He regularly supports employers with questions related to payroll, benefits, workers’ compensation, regulatory compliance and employee relations. Oscar is bilingual and enjoys getting to help Spanish speaking clients and employees.
Oscar graduated from Portland State University in 2015 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration with a specialization in Human Resource Management. In 2017 Oscar completed his Master of Arts degree in Educational Leadership and Policy within the Post-Secondary Adult and Continuing Education program at Portland State University with a specialization in Teaching Adult Learners.
Oscar is passionate about spreading diversity and has done tons of volunteer work as a peer mentor for young college students. He believes that education is the pathway to a successful career. In his spare time, Oscar enjoys spending time with his friends and family, taking outdoor trips and exploring the Pacific Northwest.


Eva Maribona supports organizations in various industries across the Pacific Northwest. Eva acts as the “front line” for providing HR Support in numerous areas including employee relations, problem resolution, training and development, policies and procedures, process implementation, compliance, and best practice consultation. Eva earned an MBA from the Lorry I. Lokey Graduate School of Business at Mills College and a B.A. in Business Economics and Latin American Studies from Mills College. As a graduate student, Eva was honored with a Goldman Sachs – 10,000 Women Business Leadership award for her potential as a future female business leader who deeply cares for community. She is bilingual with fluency in both English and Spanish, SHRM-CP certified and licensed in Health and Life insurance in the State of Oregon.
